![]() ![]() What was the purpose of this exercise? It would seem that two timelines (at least) no existed. One question that remains is why? Two things happened, first Nantucket was transported to the past with it's technology intact, and second the contemporary world had the laws of physics altered. They would have been in the best postion resource wise to survive, although they would have been vulnerable to armed takeover. It would have been interesting to focus on the Amish or similiar communites that did not use 20th century technology. Did this mean that no steam exceeded a very small psi? What about geysers? Did they stop working? ![]() Also, steam powered equipment didn't work - the boilers couldn't generate enough pressure. It is hard to understand how the laws of physics where substantially altered to make it impossible for gunpowder to work. ![]() It is easy to understand how electrical/electronic equipment could be destroyed. It was somewhat hard to believe that so many medival 'enactors' were conviently grouped together though. I just finished this book over the weekend. ![]()
